Director of Program Quality and Sustainability

Who We Need

The Center for Youth Engagement is expanding its team focused on advancing the goals of Beyond the Bell Milwaukee (BTBMKE). BTBMKE is a new initiative dedicated to improving the coordination and impact of programs and services for youth ages 13-18. Commitment to program quality and continuous improvement is an important strategy for building and sustaining coordinated after school programs for youth. Pursuit of best practices that are both accessible and applicable is critical to the success of this effort. We are seeking a full-time Director of Program Quality and Sustainability to advance strategies to increase citywide capacity in the areas of continuous improvement and program sustainability.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Research, compile, and share quality improvement and capacity building tools and resources.

  • Support facilitation of BTBMKE Quality Working GroupMonitor quality trends in the field of Youth Development.

  • Promote and participate in city-wide and agency-level continuous quality improvement initiatives.

  • Support organizations in the development of continuous quality improvement plans.

  • Conduct high-level analysis of quality data including identification of trends, correlation and potential strategic inquiries.

  • Act as resource in identifying and developing training on the overall quality improvement and related processes.

  • Support strategies to develop and promote system, program, and youth level outcomes.

  • Work with partners to coordinate relevant activities and events. Identify and leverage resources to support the provision of quality program and service delivery.

 

Core Competencies

  • Experience with program research and evaluation.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.Willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative and maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Commitment to advancing emotional intelligence in self and others.

  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the mission and goals of CYE and BTBMKE.

  • Possess a demonstrated passion for effective execution with attention to detail, integrity, and timeliness.

  • At least two years of non-profit experience including responsibility for delivery of program, program evaluation, and youth development training deign/facilitation in an out-of -school time environment.

  • Ability to employ statistical analysis to produce reports and recommendations.

  • Proven experience in motivating and accomplishing work through others and creating work plans.

  • Advanced computer literacy skills and data analysis ability a must.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the areas of education, leadership, social work, program evaluation, or other related field preferred.

Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement

Who We Need

The Center for Youth Engagement is expanding its team focused on advancing the work of Beyond the Bell Milwaukee (BTBMKE). BTBMKE is a new initiative dedicated to improving the coordination and impact of programs and services for youth ages 13-18. As a facilitator of this initiative, partnership engagement is critical to achieving the goals and impact of this effort. We are seeking a full-time Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement. The Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement will be responsible for managing the engagement of individual and group stakeholders involved with BTBMKE. This position requires someone with demonstrated skills in planning, facilitation, media communications, and project management. This individual will also be responsible for managing the overall communication strategy for BTBMKE including online, print, digital, and earned media.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Increase and support sustained engagement of BTBMKE stakeholders through ongoing outreach, facilitation, and follow-through.

  • Provide strategic guidance and support to BTBMKE working groups.Monitor local and national trends relevant to BTBMKE issue areas.

  • Work with partners to coordinate relevant activities and events.

  • Create and oversee tracking and monitoring systems to manage technical assistance requests and inquiries.

  • Serve as a liaison between CYE and BTBMKE partners.

  • Write, review, edit, and update print and digital content materials (brochures, website, social media content, publications, etc.)

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to the program.

  • Monitor and publish content for blogs, social media platforms, discussion boards and email lists.

 

Core Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Successful social media content production, editing, publishing, and reporting experience.

  • Demonstrated track record of developing and retaining high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control and performance.

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, take initiative and maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess information gathered from a variety of sources to formulate recommendations on issues of broad strategic impact within and external to the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong commitment to advancing emotional intelligence in self and others.

  • Enthusiasm for the use of technology in the delivery of content and discussion about substantive issues.

  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the mission and goals of CYE and BTBMKE.Digital photography and video production experience (a plus).

  • Possess a demonstrated passion for effective execution with attention to detail, integrity, and timeliness.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the area of education, leadership, social work, or other related field preferred.
